About the Collection Artemide Silent Field
The Silent Field 2.0 LED suspension by Artemide is a creation by Carlotta de Bevilacqua, providing both an atmospherical illumination and a pleasant room acoustics.
Silent Field has a round, flat shade featuring numerous shallow round dents and a surface material that absorbs sound. The LED light sources are spread across these dents. The light is emitted downwards as direct illumination and upwards for additional indirect background lighting.
The light fixture is made of PET and technopolymer. The different material densities absorb diverse wave lengths and achieve an efficient sound insulation. It is also especially adapted to the human voice.
In large halls and public spaces Silent Field creates cozy relaxation islands where human beings can sit together in a laid-back atmosphere or work with concentration. Silent Field provides also a pleasant illumination, a good acoustics and a decorative, modern design object in restaurants, large offices and exhibition halls, lounges in train stations and hotels.
