About the Collection Artemide Provoca
The LED light fixture for exterior wall Provoca Wall by Artemide is a design by Ernesto Gismondi. The light body is made of light grey lacquered cast aluminium (RAL 9002) and has asymmetrical, high-performance optics of metallized polycarbonate. The diffuser's cover is made of shockproof, highly transparent hard glass. The screws are made of stainless steel. The wall fixation is also made of light grey lacquered steel.
Some other technical features make the light's technoid character obvious. To maximize the heat dissipation, the LED switches are directly affixed to the light body's aluminium casing. Additional conducting slats increase the surfaces' heat exchange with the ambient air. There is a grid in the middle on the diffuser, which produces the optimum circulating air and cools the dissipation surface. Convexion current enables the fresh air from the grid to rise upwards and to reduce the warmth produced by the light sources. This enables to increase the lifespan and to optimize the integrated LEDs' luminous efficiency.
