About the Collection Artemide Melete
The dimmable Melete wall lamps by Artemide were designed by the brothers Pio and Tito Toso and awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2012. The collection comprises a version with R7s halogen lamps and a version with integrated LEDs. They spread mostly indirect illumination with partly direct light.
The light body is made of white lacquered cast aluminium. The recess, characterized by soft edges, establishes a contrast with the body's brick-shape. The light passes partly downwards through this aperture and mostly upwards and is projected against the wall in soft light cones.
