About the Collection Artemide Gople
The Gople lights by Artemide were designed by the design studio the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and awarded, among other, the Wallpaper Design Award in 2019 for their extraordinary lighting effect.
The collection comprises suspensions, a floor lamp, ceiling lamps and a table lamp in various versions.
The light fixtures are characterized by a long, oval shade, made by hand, according to older Venetian glass techniques. It is transparent below, and milky white or metallized on top. Because the transition is fluid, the light fixture gets an especially harmonious appearance and a pleasant, versatile lighting effect. The light source is optimally shielded, while the light shines directly and diffusely in the room. Metallic structures and suspension systems are so discreet that they are hardly noticeable and do not attract the attention at the expense of the diffuser.
The light fixtures for E14 or E27 lamps are everyday light sources for the living spaces or pleasant public environments. They spread cozy light for a range of uses, ranging from dining table illumination to room light and light accents on a sideboard. The RWB version with integrated blue, red and white light in variable portions is a special version. They were optimized to support the growing of plants and are suitable for special lighting projects in the public sector.
Durability is put to the fore during the Gople lights' manufacturing process. Only few material is discarded and the chosen metallizing process is environment-friendly. A low-solvent transparent protection lacquer makes the surfaces especially stable, thus prolonging the lights' life-span.
