The Dioscuri light fixtures by Artemide were designed by Michele de Lucchin in 1999, and appeal with a minimalistic design suitable for many applications. The collection includes wall and ceiling lamps as well as table lamps of various sizes, suitable for diverse applications.
The simple, spherical diffuser of white blown glass is at the core of the design. Its acid-etched surface provides a pleasant diffuse light. The base and the wall and ceiling mountings have a simple appearance. They are made of white synthetics or metal and are relatively small to emphasize the beautiful round diffuser.
Dioscuri was awarded the Red Dot Design Award and the Design Plus Award in 2000.
