About the Collection Artemide Demetra
The Demetra LED lights by Artemide were designed by Naoto Fukasawa and convince with timeless functionality and essential aesthetics. The collection includes table lamps, wall lamps and floor lamps in three versions. Beside the original Demetra LED light, there is also the smaller Demetra Micro and the strongly shining Demetra professional. The Demetra lights were awarded the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Product Design Award and the Design Plus Award in 2014.
The light fixtures embody Fukasawa design philosophy which aims at a natural, intuitive relation between object, user and environment. They provide dimmable reading light, creating a pleasant atmosphere on the desk, in the living room or in the bedroom. Their timeless design, the simple handling and a versatile colour spectrum turn the Demetra lights into perfect reading and working lights in the living space, at the home office or at the working place.
The Demetra light fixtures have round, flat reflector heads and an arm structure with pulley. Both elements are flexibly adjustable and make possible to precisely direct the light. A touch dimmer on the light head enables to effortlessly regulate the brightness. The optional presence detector, which automatically switches off the light when no movement has been registered after some time, offers even more comfort.
Depending on the model, the light fixtures rest on a floor base or table base, are affixed with a clamp or a screw to the table or mounted on the wall with a wall fixation. Because of the many available versions, the light fixtures Demetra adapt to every room situation and find room even at small working spots or seating corners.
