About the Collection Artemide Decomposé Light
The light fixtures Decomposé play with the deconstruction of a geometrical basic shape and produce fascinating light and shadow effects. The collection was designed by the Swiss design Studio Oï, and comprises a suspension, a ceiling lamp, a floor lamp and a table lamp, each available in four distinctive colours.
Decomposé consists of a cylindrical body of lacquered aluminium concealing the light source inside. Several connected aluminium rings are connected to the tube, so that the light body seems to break up into slices which explains its name "Decomposé".
Depending on the model, the light shines upwards or downwards, while the rings create an additional atmospheric shadow interplay which decorates the surrounding walls.
