About the Collection Artemide Curiosity

The rechargeable Curiosity table lamps by Artemide were designed by Davide Oppizzi and serve as an illuminated display surface for small items, books and decorative objects. The collection comprises two different sizes, both featuring the same minimalistic design, with rechargeable battery and focussed, dimmable LED light.

The design of the Curiosity light fixtures is simple and essential, tailored to fulfill functions: the showcasing of special objects and the illumination of places, where people meet. They can bring a fancy touch to restaurant tables, exhibition and display surfaces, on desks and sideboards. Anytime, it is possible to renew their decoration, shift them and use them in another location, for a different purpose. The rectangular aluminium frame in which the cylindrical LED reflector is integrated is stretched over a square, flat base. Its light shines downwards and illuminates the base and the objects placed on it. Alternatively, the smaller Curiosity also has a removable, ball-shaped glass diffuser which spreads a warm, diffuse lighting.

The light is dimmable at three levels (100%, 50%, 25%). A switch located on the edge of the base enables to dim and switch the light on and off. The integrated battery is loaded via an USB-C-cable. Its operating time is of up to 8 hours at full intensity, 16 hours at medium intensity and 32 hours at lowest intensity. It takes 4 hours to recharge.
