About the Collection Artemide Cadmo

The Cadmo lights by Artemide were designed in 2007 by Karim Rashid and have been awarded many prizes for their elegant, simple design. Rashid drew inspiration from a man wrapped in a rain-coat which is abstractly represented by the shade. The collection includes a LED wall lamp and a LED floor lamp.

Both versions have a slender, elongated light body. It consists of a thin sheet rolled into a tube. The slit in the front, the rounded edges and the smoothly cut silhouette lend an organic charm to the shape. The tubes are equipped with two light sources which create indirect, diffuse lighting. The inside of the tube is always white, ensuring effective light distribution.

Cadmo was awarded the Good Design Award of the Chicago Athenaeum in 2007, the iF Product Design Award in 2010 and the Red Dot Award in 2010.
