Artemide Tolomeo Fluo Dark Light table lamp with clamp

Table lamp Artemide Tolomeo Fluo is used with a fluorescent lamp that has a wattage of only 18W. Due to its dark light louvre a dazzle- and flicker-free light is guaranteed. Two adjustable arms and the rotatable lamp shade make Tolomeo perfectly suitable for desk and screen lighting. This version of the celebrated design classic spends an optimal direct and partly scattered reading and task light. Since design and functionality perfectly match together, Tolomeo rightly is a worldwide cult figure.

The body of the lamp is made of glossy or black lacquered aluminium, while the head is made of matt anodised aluminium. This luminaire offers great possibilities of flexibility and mobility due to its system of spring balancing using joints and fixations from polished aluminium as well as cables on guiding wheels. Besides the dark light louvre it has an electronic ballast and a table clamp instead of a base. This lamp can be operated by means of a black switch located at the head of the lamp.

The Tolomeo was first presented to the public in 1987 on occasion of the famous light fair "Euroluce" in Italy and gained instant success. This success was confirmed again in 1989, when the two designers were awarded the Compasso d'Oro. To this day this lamp is a best-seller that is continuously developed and is available in a growing number of versions.
