The floor lamp Kvet (metal garden) by Anthologie Quartett features an unique glass diffuser made up of bohemian glass, blown by mouth and sandblasted, that evokes a huge sprouting flower. This kind of glass is completely handmade according to traditional manufacturing techniques. The irregularly formed glass-shade is held by a life-like appearing, green lacquered iron and aluminium structure, so that soft and strong shapes are combined. This opposition turns Kvet into an special furniture object with an impressive effect. The Czech designer did not submit himself neither to a rigorous style, nor to aesthetical forces and therefore the perfect processed lamp Kvet became a contemporaneous sculpture with a poetical note. Horak tries with his creations to bring nature in our houses and flats, while recreating it. Indeed he has been especially inspired by the flora that we can find in our gardens. The finishing touch is given by the designer himself so that each piece is an inimitable specimen. For this reason please allow for sizes and colours that deviate from the catalogue illustrations. The lamp Kvet is part of a larger range called metal garden that Horak progressively completed for Anthologie Quartett. It is available in two different heights.
