The Fortuny floor lamp is a perfect example of how timeless good design can be. Its a classic designed back in 1907 by Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo and re-edited in the 1980s by Italian design firm Pallucco. Timeless aesthetics is also the main feature of newer lighting creations by Pallucco, such as Foglie and Coral with biomorph shape made from polycarbonate or Crinolina and Guardian with ther graphic and geometric design. Paolo Pallucco founded the firm Pallucco in 1982, an era when art prevailed over design. However, its artistic studio character was soon replaced and Pallucco turned into a design only six years later. Swiss architect and designer Hannes Wettstein took over the seat as Art Director shaping the company's image in the 1990s and was succeded by Dutchmen Jurgen Bey in 2000. Jurgen Bey perfectly understands to create typical Pallucco products best described as decorative design with emotional character.
