Suspension Tress from woven threads on fiber glass base is available in three shapes and dimensions as well as three colours.
The suspension lamp Tress by Foscarini is after award-winning light icon 'Mite' and 'Twiggy' the latest result of the fruitful co-operation between the Italian manufacturer and the design talent Marc Sadler. Tress was first introduced at Euroluce in Milan in 2009 and has all premises for becoming a design classic. The product familiy Tress includes versions for the floor, table and ceiling and is a weave of threads and resin that at the same times serves as structure, decoration and screen and produces a never before seen interplay of light and shadow. This innovative compound material on lacquered glass fibre base is the result of two years of research and development and created with an exclusive manufacturing process. The lamps are available in white, red and black. While the white version has a more airy and discrete personality, the elegant black and explosive red versions have a more dominant appearance. The suspension lamp Tress is available in three sizes: piccola, media and grande. The different versions produce various light effects depending on their shape and size. The suspension lamps Tress piccola and Tress media with their elongate and conical shapes mainly direct the light on the surface below the lamp and are therefore especially suited to illuminate darker corners in a room. When used in series very special light effects can be achieved. The largest version, Tress grande, has a large diameter and gives semi-direct light that is ideally suited for the illumination of dining tables.
