This results in the creation of the branch architectural lighting, which one of the eldest lighting design companies Flos establishes in 2005. Antares is specialized in premium solutions for outdoor and indoor lighting. The collaboration, which was reinforced by Flos' acquisition of the majority share of Antares, soon turns out to be very successful. In the meantime Flos Architectural counts many lighting systems and lights to their repertoire. Amongst others there is the series Battery, that has been designed by F.A. Porsche. It is provided with a special adjustable mechanism, that allows to focus the light direction according to the individual needs. The aluminium recessed luminaires 5000 / 5010 also bear the signature of Porsche. The renowned designer Piero Lissoni created for Flos Architectural aluminium tubes named Tubular Bells, that contain a zoom lens to regulate the opening grade of the luminous beam. Other designs by Lissoni are the series Neutron, Box or Stealth Linear. Famous designers such as Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio and Konstantin Grcic also stand behind the products of Flos Architectural. All in all, the producer is particularly characterized by integrated, individually adapted solutions for home, commercial, industrial and outdoor lighting. It develops intelligent systems, adds its cutting-edge engineering skills, and supplies them with high-class material. What remains visible is a lighting design within a class of its own. With the latest company unit Soft-Architecture, the manufacturer Flos expands the offering range to further innovative solutions, in which lighting objects are seamlessly integrated into the architectural environment.
