Tunto LED1 table lamp walnut wood

Precious and close to nature at the same time presents itself table lamp LED1 by Tunto. It has been designed by the Finn Mikko Kärkkäinen and has rightly received several design prizes, such as the red dot design award in 2009 or the Green Good Design award in 2010. The principle is simple but ingenious. An only 7 mm thin wooden board, in this case made of walnut wood, is twice bended and therefore consitutes the base, middle part and head of the monolithic luminaire. On the upper inner side, 9 LED-lights are integrated and create a soft, indirect and warm-white light, which are operated via three sensors on the base side. With a high energy efficiency, the luminaire emphasizes its natural tied character. However, if the natural aspect is too dominant, one can choose from 11 colour lacquerings on the exterior side.
