Tunto LED1 table lamp oak wood

The table lamp LED1 is an ingenious luminaire, that has rightly received several design prizes. Mikko Kärkkäinen delivered the design for Finnish manufacturer Tunto. It is not only environmentally friendly, but also in choice of material a nature devoted object. An only 7 mm thin wooden board that is twice bended, bears the whole optics an technique of the lamp. 9 shiftedly arranged LED-lights create a soft, diffused and warm-white light, with a total consumption of only 15W. They are operated via three sensors on the lower part of the lamp. The eleven different colours, in which Tunto LED1 can be lacquered, serve as an additional stylistic device. Or one can choose the version that is entirely in wood, which underlines the puristic aspect.
