The table lamp Scantling S by Marset is a combination of geometric shapes from wood and metal and a design full of expressive personality, yet homely appearance. Scantling is a term used to define the size of a piece of wood or stone and is an old unit of measurement. The table lamp Scantling S has a solid arm from oak that supports a fully rotating cylindrical aluminium shade lacquered white or stonegrey. The exquite design does not require any counterweights thanks to a hidden mechanism that uses friction without the usual self-loosening. The stem and the base are from lacquered iron. The cable simply runs in a grove along the timber while the switch is integrated into the shade.
