All three design objects have reached iconic status in shortest time and account for the enormous success of Magis which is named in the same breath as Kartell and Driade. The British trend bible Wallpaper even placed Eugenio Perazza, founder of Magis, on top of the of the 'Ten who will change the way we live'.

Magis is no common manufacturer of design furniture. It was founded in Northern Italy in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza, then still a newcomer to the furniture business, with the purpose to create mundane household plastic articles. Although plastic remains one of the main materials used by Magis, designers like Konstantin Grcic,the Bouroullec brothers or Naoto Fukasawa lately used aluminium, wood or cement for their designs for Magis.
