Cini & Nils Lights and Lamps

The lights from the Italian brand Cini & Nils fit harmoniously into the interior with their clear and simple design without immediately catching the viewer's eye. At second glance, the Cini & Nils lighting objects are even more impressive and impress with their design and technical refinements. In addition to the stringent design and the use of high-quality materials, it is above all the quality of the lighting that sets Cini & Nils lights apart. At Cini & Nils, the brightness and distribution of the light is precisely calculated, but the aesthetic aspect is not neglected either.

Cini & Nils was founded in 1969 by designers Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi in Milan, Italy. Bettonica was an architect, interior designer and industrial designer and was always looking for objects that were unique in their innovative strength, aesthetics and functionality. Together with his partner Melocchi, who has a background in advertising and product design, they initially designed outstanding objects and furniture such as magazine racks, bar series and table and desk collections, quite a few of which found their way to the New York Museum of Modern Art. It wasn't until 1972 that they turned to lighting design. Franco Bettonica was the chief designer of Cini & Nils for many years and the progressive spirit of Bettonica and Melocchi still shapes the Cini & Nils lights today. Since 2013, Franco Bettonica's daughter, Luta Bettonica, has been the managing director of Cini & Nils.
