Catellani & Smith Luna Piena
Design: Enzo Catellani
Description: The wall lamp Luce Piena by Catellani & Smith creates an indirect and extremely comfortable light that contributes to a sense of well-being. The lamp is made up of aluminium and brass and features a thick, flexible arm that outstands overarm from the disc that is lined with a gold or silver coloured leaf. On the flexarm´s head resides the proper light source. In an extravagant way the applied halogen lamp is located in a classical lampholder. The light, when adjusted to the disk, is reflected indirectly by the round metal surface and it seems that the lamp shines with a light of their own. The lamp responds to the enchantment of the eyes with the warmth of fire, the preciousness of a soft nugget of pure gold when it lies revealed among a thousand worthless pebbles. The gold diffuser exhibits brass elements, however the silver version has nickel details. The electronic 105W transformer is integrated in the wall bracket. The lamp is available in two different sizes. This lamp is an object that leaves imprint on the soul, whose charm lies in never being the same.
